POLICY
TSE Scaffolding Contractors Ltd Environmental Policy
- TSE is committed to the conservation and improvement of the environment and to minimising the environmental impact of any risks arising from its activities
- The company will endeavour to manage its company’s operations in ways that are environmentally sustainable and economically feasible and provide appropriate environmental training for its staff
- In order to achieve this aim, TSE Scaffolding Contractors Ltd has the following key objectives:
- To promote sound environmental management policies and practices at all times
- As a minimum to comply with the requirements of all relevant legislation
- To make efficient and environmentally responsible use of all energy sources and operational equipment as required
- To promote where possible environmentally responsible procurement of goods and services
- To minimise waste production as far as is practicable, to reuse or recycle waste where appropriate and to regulate the treatment and disposal of residual waste
- To reduce and where practicable prevent pollution from the company’s daily operations
- To minimise the impact of transport on the environment arising from its own vehicles
- To minimise the adverse environmental impact of the decommissioning and disposal of its waste materials
- To raise awareness of all staff of the company’s environmental impact, activities and performance to promote individual good practice
- Scaffold boards will be obtained from sustainable forestry registered suppliers
- Damaged scaffold boards will be resized where possible until no longer usable
- Damaged scaffold tube will be straightened or resize for further use
- Company vehicles will be replaced on a regular basis to ensure the most environmentally friendly are used
ACCREDITATIONS
TSE scaffolders and labourers are trained, tested and hold CISRS cards. TSE holds copies of CISRS cards and maintains a database to ensure training is up to date.
Each year, TSE is audited by SMAS (Safety Management Advisory Services) to ensure we are working to the requirements of SSIP and checking we are still maintaining the criteria and designated elements of health and safety management and documentation.
TSE is CHAS registered. Contractor health and safety assessment scheme is renewed on an annual basis to confirm compliance of management of health and safety.
Supporting Mates in Mind, a UK registered charity raising awareness, addressing the stigma of poor mental health promoting positive mental wellbeing across workplaces.
SCAFFOLD EQUIPMENT
We supply high quality, fully tested scaffolding that is compliant to the latest standards.
All our scaffold is erected by our experienced CISRS qualified scaffolders.
We only source our materials from suppliers who can guarantee materials that conform to or exceed statutory requirements.

TSE Scaffolding Contractors has £10 million public and £10 million employer’s liability insurance.
Our ethos and company culture promotes a safe working environment. Our experienced and well-trained staff will carry out the job safely and to the exacting standards.
SAFETY ADVISORS
TSE has retained health and safety advisors. We felt an outside company would be better placed to give independent advice and have the input and knowledge base of many qualified safety personnel. They keep us up-to-date with all the relevant safety requirements of our industry and are there to provide and advise when needed.
